If crossing at Sault Ste. Marie, try Highway 17 North along Lake Superior to Wawa, then east on HWY 101 to Chapleau. Your return drive on HWY 129 via Thessalon brings you back to Sault Ste. Marie and provides a change of scenery. Both routes are paved, with approximately the same travel time (3-1/2 hrs north of the Sault). The floatplane base is easily found and has ample parking space.  There, your "bush pilot" will greet you, load up, and ... you're off ...!

The Chapleau airport no longer  receives  scheduled airlines. Private A/C are always welcome; fuel and tie-downs are available as well. We can arrange transport to our base, a 5 minute drive from the airport.

Airline Travelers: We suggest customs clearance at Toronto International Airport; then a connecting flight to Timmins, Ontario. From there, a rental car/van will be necessary.

From the Timmins airport to our seaplane-base is approx 21/2 hr drive.
